John Grimm was born in 1942. A lifelong resident of DeKalb County, he graduated from Butler High School in 1960.
John enrolled at Indiana University in Bloomington and, based upon his grade point average and test scores, was admitted to a curriculum which permitted him to complete his undergraduate and law school studies in only six years.
Upon graduation, John returned to Auburn and began practicing law with his father, Howard S. Grimm, Sr., and they were soon joined by John's brothers Howard and Edgar at the present office location of 101 East Ninth Street.
For several years John has concentrated his practice exclusively in the area of personal injury law, although he had previously participated in major criminal defense litigation and domestic relations litigation.
John has handled hundreds of personal injury cases, many of which involved brain injuries, burns, paraplegia, amputations and other very serious injuries arising out of automobile wrecks, defective products and medical malpractice.
In 2007 John became a registered civil mediator and can assist with alternative resolution of disputes involving all civil issues including negligence, personal injury, contracts, construction, insurance and defective products.
John has been a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association and the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association throughout his career and has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association for fifteen years.
